Sob-o-mesmo-Céu is a project targeting children from 7 to 15, the project’s goal is to promote the development of various competencies with a particular focus on the development of artistic practices and the children’s relationship with their space
SOB-O-MESMO-CÉU
As one of the agents of the project’s artistic goals, our collective seeks to direct the children to an awareness of the material and social space they inhabit as a way of promoting their capacity to reimagine and transform this space.
We approached this project within the perspective of “learning by doing.” Through the collective construction and manipulation of various materials, we seek to promote Quinta da Alçada inhabitants' capacity to communicate and make decisions over their space.
This process will eventually materialize in the shape of interventions in public space, reflecting the concerns and desires of the community.
